Nice view, low on facilities

Nice view, relatively clean, not too expensive restaurant offering snacks (2 JD for meat in a bread) but very nice and friendly owner.

Especially at sundown you have a nice view to the Eilat area (not as nice as at the south beach, because here you have this harbour atmosphere with all the big ships). It is very nice to see the come together at night when all the families and people are having a snack, sitting together at the beach.

We visited the place with a lot of inhibitions but the place is great We found total of 5 public beaches in Aqaba and all are good We drove right from the city centre in the centre of Aqaba up to the Saudi Arabian border down south The drive is along the beaches. We stopped at the no 3 and... More

The beach is well equipped, but is full of local people spending their vacation in Aqaba. The local women do not bathe, swim and if, then only in special suits. Lovely sunset view minutes from town.

Aqaba is a relative new city. Slowly evolving to meet the needs of English speaking tourists. First thoughts when your plane lands is that the place is a little antiquated walking across the tarmac to the arrival building. We landed at 2.30am, not many people around. Make sure the hotel where you are staying has a shuttle bus otherwise a... More

Clean friendly, people are far more relaxed than on Eilat side, it was Hot but evenings were great to walk around and soak up evening/night vibe and no shoes needed just sand between the toes like beaches should be

We had a walk along the beachfront here and it was interesting to see the locals with their rubber rings. But This is not the place for tourists stripping off and joining in . Mostly men in the sea with their kids while women either just paddled or sat in the shade fully dressed. Lots of boats pulled up onto... More

It's quite a small public beach inside Aqaba city, extremely dirty. No WC cabins, no wardrobes to change. If you are a lady don't even think of coming there in a bikini. The beach is full of local Arab citizens, many of them staring at you. Not a comfortable place. Not recommended. There is a much better South Beach in... More

The problem with the beach is that it is located in an Arab country and so it would not be advisable for a single woman or any woman wearing western bathing suits. The woman on the beach are basically wearing burkas and it's the men and children in the water. There also do not seem to be any amenities by... More

The public beaches are full of locals, therefore more appropriate for walking and looking around, and less for swimming and entering the water. There were some merchants around that bothered us a bit. As the female locals enter the water fully clothed, it's not recommended for females to wear bathing suites, otherwise it could become weird for them. The place... More
