Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Discovery made by chance upon reaching our hotel, the Ibis Style. This market is strongly reminiscent of the Tsukiji I knew 10 years ago before it moved, in smaller, less stress (the traders may not yet be jaded / victims of tourism). It opens very early (except on Sundays), so you can do as I do and pass before taking an excursion or visiting Nagoya. We didn't eat there, though.

Although it was too early for us, tourists, to be there as 6am was dedicated for the businesses, the whole place was lively, interesting and impressive. We were very glad to make our effort to get there. We only had a few hours to kill early in the morning, but enjoyed buying green tea, seaweed, and also had our seafood breakfast at Maguroya. It was delicious! After 8am, there will be more eating places open inside and outside of the market.

Typical fish market. Not much street food and dry goods as compare to tsukiji. There are some restaurants which are good for seafood.

Visited the place early in the morning and found plenty of stalls selling sashimi ,even some live fishes. One of the more authentic market around and good place to get some breakfast. Bought some grape from the stall and they packed them nicely and safely in the box for flight back .

I went there in June 2017 on a saturday late morning. When I arrived around 10am, the stalls are almost closing soon. The place was very lively, the floor was wet and could be slippery. The seafood was very fresh but the price was more expensive than supermarket. I went for a brunch at one of eating places, the meal was great with fresh seafood.

I was staying at a nearby hotel and wondered around the direction of fish market thinking about a sea food meal.Ended up at see food dining pace. No English menu but owner spoke limited English. Had a 6 course menu and a nice cold bear. Fish appears to be fresh and prepared with good care. Really pleased that I managed to go there for dinner.
