Cracking tour, which we were able to go on even without prebooking (just waited a bit) No english on the tour, but they have a guide which is excellent and covers off all the points of interest. Fascinating building and well worth going to!

It was an interesting visit and it gave an insight into the lives of the samurai and noble classes of the day. There are lots of secret spots and escape routes to marvel at. The downside for us was being herded around in groups which...More

There is no connection to ninja in any way whatsoever! Just a ploy to exploit gullible tourists. Rude & unhelpful staff will take you on a rushed tour. Much better things to do in Kanazawa. Avoid!

This is not really a Ninja Temple but is worth the visit. No photos allowed inside and the tour is in Japanese but it is an interesting place to see.

We were glad we went for the Myoruji visit. The guide was in Japanese but they provided us with an English booklet with photos and explanations. Having the photos in the book also allowed us to note where the next contraption or trapdoor was before...More

Interesting tour showing trap doors and other nifty things at a temple. Tour in Japanese, but with a detailed book in English which followed the tour.

Interesting temple - much better than the ninja villages and edo wonderland in other parts of Japan. Very strict and a bit stuffy with the rules and reservations.

We were given a booklet to read as the guide took the tour group around. The book had good information in to read and was well set out. The temple has many interesting features in regard to its defence and is well worth a visit

Since we didn't speak Japanese well, we had our hotel make same day reservations.
