Interesting town with many shop houses full of eateries, souvenir shops, local crafts n groceries, etc..there is also a nice river cutting thru the town where one can take a boat (short journey tho) or enjoy a rickshaw ride..

Kurashiki's hitoric district is small and is great for walking. There are many shops and restaurants to visit. There is also a canal, where you can ride a 'gondola'. This is a very picturesque town.

A very scenic place with old quarters and plenty of shops selling food and souvenirs. Good for a relaxing walk alone the nicely done up canal.

Early morning, and evenings, when the shops are closed and the tour groups have departed, the place feels deserted and is a quiet, historical experience that is very enjoyable.

Especially when the weather is sunny, this is a very nice place to just walk around through the old streets and see the old houses. From here you are on walking distance to some museums, temples and shrines. Enough to spend a day. Enjoy!
