Really beautiful! Should drop by to take some pictures!

Came by this place at night when all the lights were lit up. Even though it was freezing due to the strong winds (almost blew me over), the pictures I took were beautiful! It was... read more

Lots of souvenir shops and places to eat with closer views of the Hakodate dock. Feel the history of what used to be a bustling harbor

The history of these warehouses are an important reminder of the time when Japan was contacted by the West. The building style are quite common in this part of town from the mid to late 19th Century. This historical areas these have been modernized to retail and tourism. The shopping is crowded and their products are common with other parts... More

Came by this place at night when all the lights were lit up. Even though it was freezing due to the strong winds (almost blew me over), the pictures I took were beautiful! It was as if I was being transported back to another time. Must visit! Take note that the stores there close at 7pm but you can still... More

Very much like a fishermans wharf in the west, the red brick exteriors are interesting but what is more captivating are the bay views. Inside the warehouses are touristy shops selling various knock knacks. The beer hall is located there as well as a Starbucks which is sadly , representative of modern invasion into a very quaint historical street.

Such a lovely shopping area with many crafts on display, including food, jewellery, souvenirs, leather goods, clothes and various restaurants. We were there in the afternoon of winter so it was dark by the time we had our fill and we're ready to walk back to our hotel. A few small stores were closing at 6pm, but 7pm is the... More

Love the brick warehouses. Remind me of the DUMBO are in Brooklyn, NY. There are lots of Shops to buy your souvenirs and cheese cakes (they are so good) cookies, candies, etc. The restaurants in the area are really good. Must visit when you are in hokadate.

I just had a few hours in Hakodate and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse satisfied my needs: bought a Hakodate post card, stamped it and mailed it from the post office there. Great!

The warehouse is a convenient shopping area near hotels. It has a good variety of small shops, cafes and services. Very pleasant spot to spend a few hours looking at local products and buying reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs.
