Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was the old Mitsui Banking bld that has been converted to another commercial area. Step into the shop and one will be fascinated with with the sparkle of charming accessories. They include individually handmade ornaments and wearables all made locally. There are also reasonably-priced necklaces and straps, all look so nice and cutie. Offering so many chouices that one will sure to find something to buy. :)
Noted that there is also a small coffee shop, the Cafe Deco, at a corner. No try as we just had buffet lunch at Nord Hotel.
Wifey bought a hand chain for 6000 yen, not quite the actual marble though. But it sure is unique and close to what she has wanted ..
The building has a very colouful side with lovely red flower/leaves clinging on it that it form the backdrop for many photoshoot

This is a popular accessory shop in a former bank. The building built in 1906 housed the Otaru branch of the 113th National Bank, the first bank based in Hokkaido headquartered in Hakodate. The 113th National Bank was merged into Hokkaido Takushoku Bank in 1928, which itself went into bankruptcy in 1997. Tucked in the back in an annex building is a café, where we enjoyed coffee in a quiet and nostalgic atmosphere. There are numerous bank buildings built in the late Meiji and Taisho period that have been preserved and converted into shops and galleries.

This building is the former Otaru Branch of the Hyakujusan Bank. It was built in 1908 and has gone through some remodeling over the years. It has a Greek decorative look to it with columns. Definitely different looking at the time. It is now a shop with tourist items.

2018年05月16日,買了兩個手環,看起來很漂亮,重量及色澤像是玻璃,結果送給母親戴了兩個月表皮剝落,才發現是樹脂做的,表面上漆,是假貨!

I bought 2 glass marble bracelet in 2018/05/16. They looked beautiful and seems made of glass in weight and color. However my mom wore the red one about two months, the color has peeled off. I found the bracelet actually made from plastic. These are fakes. Shame on you!

This ex-bank building has been "commercialised" into a shop, just like most of such old buildings here & elsewhere in Japan.

But it is good to see such old historical buildings being preserved rather than torn down.
