Located at Chiba port park, at a height of 125 meters, it is the tallest structure in the region offering a view point - observation deck offering glimpses of the bay area and surrounding Chiba localities. It is accessible from the Chiba Minato station from the JR Keiyo line and the Chiba Urban monorail. The observation deck is at fourth floor . This is best visited during the evening hours.…

As towers with observation decks go, this one is a bit pedestrian and not particularly tall. However, we went in the afternoon of a cloudy day; I can imagine it would be far better on a clear early evening as the sun is setting. The typical instruments of torture for parents' pocket change (aka pay-per-view binoculars) are ample and the views offered by the observation deck span a full 360 degrees. There is a small cafe below the observation deck where you can sit and enjoy the lovely views over coffee. One floor lower you'll find a "lovers' area" where you can purchase written testaments of your courtship for those so inclined. Overall, an interesting diversion if you have an extra hour to spare. …
