水府橋の袂にある変電施設と、KDDIの施設の狭間の径を進んだ先にある、小さな社です。二つ並んだ小さな社のひとつは水波能売命、もう一つは稲荷神が祀られているようです。二匹の狐が寄り添う小さな木像があり、都市の中に忘れ去られたような、独特のアトモスフィアを感じることができました。

地元の方が管理する神社で、水戸市の那珂川にかかる水府橋の南側たもとにあり、入り口は、東電の変電所とKDDIの施設の間の小路になります。祭神は、水波乃売乃神（みずはのめのかみ）と稲乃御魂乃神（うかのみたまのかみ）で、水の神は地勢上、即納得ですが、お稲荷様は、今は想像するのも難しいのですが、昭和中期までは、付近の那珂川右岸は田畑が広がる農業地帯だったことを考えると納得の神様です。鳥居がからし色で、大木の切り株がありますので、歴史が分かれば良いのですが、文献等がありません。駐車スペースは全くありませんが、ちょっと離れた県庁三の丸庁舎駐車場ですと30分までは無料です。
