You can use a Free Pass to ride free but I recommend you pay the surcharge to have uncrowded seating at the bow and to get some some great shots.

Okay it is a bit corny but still a fantastic way to travel across Lake Ashi. Go up on the top deck for the best views and exhilarating breezes. If it's cold and rainy then you are better off staying inside - although the views...More

ENJOY the sights and sounds of Hakone Bay while cruising in a pirate ship. FUN and enjoyable and picture-perfect for those who want to take great selfies or groupies.

We booked this cruise over lake Ashi in a pirate ship over Viator. I'm glad we did this. The view was amazing. Unable to see mount fuji though as the sky was not clear. I really enjoy the cruise and the view.

It's quite bizarre to see that huge pirate ship on the lake. As it was chilly, we stayed inside the ship fully protected and unharmed by other pirates. If you are up there at the lake, it's a must.

Fun scenic ride. It is about 1/2 hour across, so not enough time to get bored if you are restless. Clean and well maintained ships. Staff very courteous and helpful.

The pirate ship ride was ok, just like a normal ferry ride. We did not have the chance to see Mount Fuji but I can imagine the beautiful view one would have on a clear day. Lots of people on the boat and it is...More

The replica pirate ship is fairly large with both enclosed and open decks. There is an area at front of ship for First Class customers who can pay a supplement to the normal fare. Travelled on many different lake ships/boats in both USA and Europe...More

Pleasant cruise on the lake for 30 mins. Not a lot to see, which was a shame. Pretty crowded with tourists

I prefer hakonemachi port if you want to stop. There some shop, market, restaurant and hotel. And mostly this port for drop off the tourist bus.

Don't know. They all appear to be be the same size & take the same route but have different decor.
