It was windy when we attended this but it was still a really good experience and the views were amazing. Never been on a ropeway before and this was a great place to start!

Definitely the way to go about Hakone with a great view. It's free if one had purchased the Hakone Pass.

It's a must do especially if you have the Hakone free pass. The ride down is slow and scenic where you can see the town and the lake.

Even though we visited during peak season the crowd kind of dispersed when we got to the cable car. It was the best ride out of all the rides you can have in Hakone. You get to see Mt. Fuji on a clear day and great views of the mountains and Owaku-dani Valley and the lake as well. If you... More

I am using the Hakone Ropeway to go to the Hakone Valley. The carriage is big so they could fit into more than 10 people. The view is so beautiful, we could see the mt Fuji clearly. If you are looking for a good scenery, you could try riding this ropeway

A MUST. The views of Mount Fuji are spectacular. Breathtaking. Lovely gondolas. The start area is also a must by the natural steam vents which are also a MUST SEE.

It was a quiet season when we took the ride in the Hakone Ropeway. There was no queue at all. And the weather was perfect, cold but clear and sunny. Mount Fuji was very clearly visible from the cars. There were 8 of us and there's still a lot of space for perhaps 8 more. Very comfortable.
