Interactive museum with clear explanations about the geological history of the area. Clearly explained in English, so that even non-geologists can understand. A lot of models and pictures. Only 100 yen.

This is a small museum but it gives one a good understanding of the volcanic forces at work in the Hakone area. It is worth a short visit.

Not a huge place but so very informative on the history and geology of the area. Great time line also on the recent eruption. Lots of hands on for kids and grown ups alike.

Made a stop to buy eggs, shop at gift shop, take pictures and then go off... Sulphur gases pretty strong here.
