The old sailing ship are anchored here in Yokohama. Now it's a floating museum for study a history of Japanese Maritime. It's very close to a train station. easy to walk there.

The ship is great to wander through especially if you are interested in tall ships, the museum is great for giving you an insight into the history of Yokohama and maritime history of Japan. There are very good interactive bits for kids (and 57 year old kids) to have a play with!

The Japanese sail training ship "Nippon Maru" in Yokohama is a very nice object to visit. The amusement park nearby makes this the trip to the Japanese Segelschulschiff quite reasonable. Admission to the sail training ship is low and opens up the possibility to explore a sail training ship virtually from the keel to the mast top. But please do... More

This is a lovely and rather large ship. While it does not have the complete charm of a real old ship, it's still impressive and when the wind blows through its sails - it's magic. Not for anyone suffering for sea sickness.

I have admit I love old ships but this display was brilliantly presented and the self guided tour really well set up. All the displays and audio are in both English and Japanese and the entire display is wonderfully preserved and presented. There is no pressure to rush you tour and the paltry 600 yen entry fee (about $6 AUD... More

Formerly a training ship in Yokohama, now sits in the Minato Mirai area dockyard. It serves as a museum and like a famous landmark in Yokohama. Worth the visit for any tourist and a great place to have a photo shoot, day or night it's still awesome =).

With a combined ticket you can visit both the Nippon Maru and the port museum just behind. I liked the visit, there are signs in Japanese and English at almost every significant place but it's much enjoyable if you have the luck of making the tour with one of the guides. During the tour you can admire the details of... More

500 yen to get in, which isn't great, but not too bad. Tour is preset, so you have to follow that, no random exploring, which is what I prefer. Unfortunately, you only get to go only one deck below; would much prefer to see engine room and forward compartment. Other than that, this was a nice way to kill 30... More
