A shrine that is close to Kawagoe old town and a popular tourist attraction, both on the national and international level. Even we visited on a rainy day, it still has quite a lot of visitors. This shrine is also famous as "Love Shrine". They...More

Just a few blocks from the main shopping street in the Old Town, this shrine was full of visitors when I arrived in summer time. Many young girls wearing kimonos and very many making wishes (I gather related to weddings?). There were also some lovely...More

Nice temple with wind charms. Draw your lots when you are there. Take the edo bus and it will stop right outside the temple.

The shrine's long causeway had residential roads on either side, which turned off left and right respectively upon reaching the complex, surrounded by its wooden walls.

The local tour bus will stop here before entering main tourist area. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Many not significant compared with other Japanese temples, you can cherish the unusual calmness there. By the way, nice and cute souvenirs there. (御守)

This is a nice shrine at the far end of the old town on a river - nothing worth going out of your way for but perfectly OK.
