I went there after Hydrangea season ended last year, so I revisited it to coincide with the Hydrangea blooming. You pay an entrance fee of 300 yen at the Sanmon to enter the temple grounds. I thought the Hydrangea was just planted in the precincts, but there were rare Hydrangea in flowerpots in various places such as around the main hall. The temple grounds are not very large, but I understand why so many people visit during the Hydrangea flowering season.

On my way to eat gelato at a nearby farm, I stopped by Nogo-ji Temple, even though it was not hydrangea season. There is a 300 yen admission fee during the hydrangea blooming season, but it is free at other times. There is a long white wall surrounding the temple, and I walked around the wall from the parking lot and entered the temple grounds through the mountain gate. There is a bell tower to the right of the mountain gate, and hydrangea trees were surrounding it. It was heartwarming to see hydrangeas still blooming despite the blooming season being long over.
