The lake was absolutely mesmerising but we went in the middle of winter and we're freezing our butts off. Nonetheless, we stayed a good hour outside becoming popsicles.

The water is such a nice shade of turquoise, we felt as though we were by the pacific ocean! The fog rolled on the lake for a good part of the day leaving us with many mystical picture. The little view point trail is easy and worth it :)

I fell in love with Lake Chuzenji the moment i saw it. Spent 2 hours there. And had to come back there next week and i wanted to capture the memory. I hope it stays the same for the next 10000 years.

We did a very brief stop at this lake. Was during month of January and looks like in this area lots of snow was falling. The scenery with the mountains and lake is very beautiful.

Beautiful setting, the lake is easily accessible for various viewing locations. Worth a trip if you are in the area. There are also some really nice shops to buy local handicrafts too.

Amazing lake. Only got to spend a few minutes driving past it on the way to the hotel and back however would definitely recommend spending a lot more time here as the scenery is amazing.

A short trip from Nikko this lake provides some great vista and walks. Some good eateries in the town too.

If you want to visit Nikko National Park but are not a hiker the Lake is a nice option, with restaurants, lodging, vacation homes, hot springs, and relaxing sightseeing including Kegon Falls.

Walk along the lake for miles, its so serene. There are also temples to see, and local restaurants are so welcoming of business. Nikko has great tourist information centres as well as free wifi. Many waterfalls such as Kaegon falls a short walk away. Nikko is a little more difficult to get to so not too crowded with tourists. It... More

Visited in December, not many tourists. It was a very windy day hence was not able to walk along the lake for long. Would imagine its beauty during summer.
