Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One Japanese friend of mine told me to come here to see the whole of Nara, and although the weather was grey and rainy, in between the rain we were able to enjoy such a beautiful sight. If you come to Nara, don't forget to come up here. It is free and the rooftop is nice with benches to sit down and enjoy the scenery. It is not on many guide books and this is unfortunate or rather fortunate since it is not crowded!!!

You can walk around the entire roof and get a great view of Nara. It is free and there is an elevator.

This building is just on the outskirts of the park, in front of the Police Station. Just inside the front door are girls dressed in traditional costumes who don't mind posing for a photo.
On the roof is a free telescope as well as benches for relaxing.
There is no cost to enter the building.

Don't miss the views from the rooftop. We caught the lift up this modernist office block to the top floor, which gave wonderful views of Nara from all sides, with direction boards and a garden covered with grass, with bench seats to relax. if you are able, climb the stairs to get an even higher vantage point.

I learned that there is a nice view from the roof of this building that anyone can access by chance and decided to check it out. You enter the lobby and take an elevator to the top floor and can walk out onto a nice roof garden that offers views in all four directions. If you have time and are near the building, going up to take a look is definitely worthwhile.

Walked by it many times. Used its parking once. But it is beyond me how this should even be listed on here.

Prior to going up Nara Park and other tourist spots, you could stop over at this government office building and go up to the top to have birds' eyeviews on part of Nara. It was free to enter the site provided there was no particular functions to be held there.

Get a lay of the land by stopping by this office. We happened to stumble upon it, and it was a great way to orient ourselves to the park and the attractions we were going to see. It's free, the landmarks are identified on clear signs, and there are some funny statues to take pictures with. It's on the way, so you might as well stop by for a few minutes.
