Friends gave us a quick driving tour through Bard College. The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts building designed by Frank Gehry was so captivating that I researched the interior. Now I must return to experience what lies "behind the mask."

We saw an adaptation of "Peter Pan" with Leonard Bernstein's original score (orchestration adapted for a quintet) in the LUMA theatre of the Bard Fischer Center as part of SummerScape. The venue's main building seems a bit out-of-place and a little ostentatious for the country...More

What an amazing venue. Sight lines and acoustics were excellent. Gorgeous exterior. Plenty of staff to assist you in parking, finding your seat and allowing orderly exit when sold out lecture was done.

The first glimpse of the shining silver theater springs out of the woods as you come down the drive, surprising you in the middle of the Hudson River bucolic setting. It was worth the trip. We took a tour of the building and discovered the...More

We especially went to this center to see this excellent building by Frank Gehry. Although the theater was closed we were permitted to walk inside the building and experience the architecture. Thans for the hospitality.

The Fisher Center is just a quick stop off Route 9 and you get to see a fantastic Frank Gehry building, if only from the outside. Across the street is the Olafur Eliasson art installation called the Parliament of reality. It is an interesting bridge...More
