Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The promenade is a green space for walkers and bikers along the lakefront with unobstructed views of Lake Biwa. We took a break at Organic Cafe Warms in Otsu , at an outdoor table that overlooks the path. Highly recommended.

This is a great little park, it's a strip of grass, trees and scenery that runs for quite a long way along the Lake Biwa waterfront. It's great to walk or cycle along, there's also a high chance you'll run into someone walking a shiba! :D
I've had the pleasure of walking & cycling along this park in the warm sunshine, which makes a really nice walk / bike ride, especially near the waterfront where you can feel the breeze and hear the sound of the water splashing against the rocks at the edge. And I've also had a nice evening stroll along it in the snow, which makes for a picturesque sight indeed.
The park / parks that line the waterfront run all the way from Otsu Port where the Michigan departs, past the Round 1 entertainment complex, past restaurants and all the way beyond ZeZe Park (great for sakura), before it heads around toward Ishiyama.

The grass park along lake Biwa in Otsu,Shiga. You can get to Otsu city from Kyoto station in 15minutes by JR. However, It takes about 20 minutes from Otsu station by walking. It is good place to take a walk, have a picnic, play and so on. You can do except BBQ and camping whatever you want to do for free. In case of sunny day, you can view beautiful whole lake Biwa.People like family, runners, strollers are there. I often go there when I want to be relaxed.Calm scenery make us forget time or everything.Especially, I recommend to go in fall season because you can also see beautiful maidenhair tree.

Nice place for walking and enjoy the view. There are some benches along the way or you can just sit on the rock and enjoy the nature.

A green belt that stretches for several kilometers in both directions means you can walk your dog, push a stroller, jog, or ride freely without having to worry about cars! Not many places like this in Japan, unfortunately. I love it here.
