Interesting to visit and just window shop if you like shopping. There's a few cafes to stop by for a break. Definitely a good place to go to hide from the cold!

It is a pretty good place to kill time and hide from cold wind etc. The underground shops mostly are fashion related and lots to see. It is also linked with street malls like Daimaru.

The underground city at Tenjin is just beyond belief. Clean, beautifully designed, easy to get around, well-ventilated, quiet, and such a wide variety of shops, you can wander for hours taking side trips into all the major department stores along the way. Restaurants, coffee shops, specialty shops, fashion and a wide variety of stores keep you interested just window shopping... More

This underground tunnel is great for access to outside location, comforted as one is barricaded from the weather, it is great to observe the current trends of Japan.

If you like shopping, please don't miss this location. The underground is quite long with many stores at two sides, which connects with department stores and Tenjin station.

It's amazing have some shopping moments below street level. The area is huge and with many shops. It is an attraction to visit and to shopping.

Typical underground shopping street, with shops all around. This underground mall is close to Tenjin station and Nishtietsu Tenjin bus center.

Unless you like to shop till you drop, underground shopping is just a common Japan thing. Every major suburb (not city) has it and it will slowly lose its novelty if you have been in Japan many times. Of course, you are always shielded from the hazards of extreme weather and you cant complain about the convenience and closeness to... More
