I have to walk pass part of the underground mall almost everyday when I transfer from Tienjin to Tienjin-minomi (Tienjin South) station t get back to my accommodation. It was like a 10 minute-walk. couldn't read anything, had no clue where I was going, I would familiarize yourself before going , atleast learn some basic Japanese and have your money ready to purchase a ticket. I waited 45 minutes until I found someone who spoke English to help me.

It was raining when we hit Tenjin so this place was just perfect. Like most cities in Japan there are shopping malls everywhere. This little underground city links loads of them together and is a fun way to move around the city.

If you come to Fukuoka first time, you don't know anything about this city, please don't go up to the ground. This street has many signs like Iwataya department is on your right, or highway bus is on your left going up to the escalator - they will help you a lot.

They have an excellent selection of stores and it's extremely convenient if you're on your way to or from the Tenjin station (Kuko/Nishitetsu Line).

Underground shopping center was really cool and there were a lot of shops. So if there is something you need you will find it there. It is also really nice place to check when its raining. But if you don't need to shopping there really isn't anything to do.

When I came here, I thought Fukuoka is definitely a place for shopping in Japan. There is just about anything you want here.
