We stopped at lake on the way to Ibusuki sand bath. Color flower and magnificent view of around lake was eye appealing.

We stopped at the lake on our way to Ibusuki sand bath and nagashi somen noodles. It is so peaceful and green around the lake, a perfect spot for a picnic.

The area is very nice and the flowers are very beautiful. Shame that there isn't a footpath that allows us to walk around the lake. The restaurant next to the lake serves very good food!

The view is not stunning at all, except the blossoming yellow flowers. If you don't have much time, you can simply skip it.

There's a gift shop that contains the biggest eel (live in a tank) along Lake Ikeda! Apparently the Japanese Royal had also visited before. Aside from that, the lake is quite large and the view is peaceful.

This is the biggest crater lake in Kyushu. As there are not so many restaurants, souvenir shops around so the atmosphere is good but one hour bus interval was too much. I would not recommend unless you drive a car.

We were on our way back to Kagoshima Airport from Ibusuki. Not much to see by oly a point of view for a stop by location.
