Monument to commemorate a music festival held on the island. While somewhat tacky and a bit out of place, the views from the park/slope its located on is worth seeing (rather than the monument itself).

A famous rock star Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi from Kagoshima held concert there gathering many people during which the statue was built. You can see it anyway getting off Island view bus at Akamizu.
