Our group had a great time touring Takachiho and Mt. Aso areas with Schingo. We went to several places that are otherwise impossible to reach through public transportation. We appreciate Schingo's expertise in the areas that we visited, and his timeliness and precise calculation making sure that we get to see the sunset at the viewpoint without skipping the sites included in the itinerary. We highly recommend Schingo to anyone looking to visit Takachiho and Mt. Aso!

DEAR SCHINGO SAN, THANK YOU for making OUR DREAMS COME TRUE!
I found his name going through many pages as I was searching for an Expert, English fluent speaking, Japanese Professional Guide who could take us through the mystic places of Miyamoto Musashi. This had a huge importance for us, to my brother the most whom I love from the depth of my heart, to the moon and back.
I cannot / we cannot thank enough Schingo for his amazing guidance, his patience, his respect in all the actions, his professionalism, his encouragement (during cancellations due to Covid). He had studied 3 day schedule to show us Kumamoto, Japanese culture, art, beautiful views (awesome Takachiho gorge!), paths, mountains, the castle, temples, gardens and many more. The sword making and the swinging experience… Wow, we finally met the Samurai sword master! It was an honour.
Schingo had to switch also plans because of climate conditions but somehow brought sunshine everywhere! We even caught the most beautiful and unreal rainbow, never seen anything like that before.
We had requested a special mission too... he guided us through all the procedures of my brother's wedding ceremony and helped us organize the breathless moment. We all wish we were there now all together.
Dear Schingo San, keep shining and never stop that laughter. Thank you again for making us live our JAPAN DREAM. And thank you for the great surprise, your pictures and videos are beautiful!
You are the best of the best as said by Brk b!
With love from all of us. ITALY~TURKEY

During our recent trip to Kyushu Japan, we were very lucky to have engaged the services of Schingo. Our Mt Aso & Tachiho Gorge tour wouldnt have been as enjoyable without him. His blend of knowledge, humour and cultural insights made the entire journey unforgettable. He was able to articulate in English very well so we had no issues communicating with him and his storytelling abilities allowed us to connect with him as a kyushu native. His personal anecdotes also added a delightful touch of authencticity to our experience. Not only did he take gd care of the five of us (all ladies), he even offered to row one of our boats at d gorge while trying his best to coach d rest of us on the other. Quite hilarious but in the end we managed and had fun. Safety is also his priority and his skills behind the wheels allowed us to tranverse the beautiful roads of Kyushu while taking in the breathtaking landscapes. I can't recommend his services highly enough. Don't miss exploring Kyushu with him as your guide!

Schingo was an incredible tour guide. Great, clear communication while booking the trip and then the day came and it was awesome. Very knowledgeable, and showed us so many beautiful things. Took the time to explain and answer any questions we had as well.

Also a fun surprise was that he brought his own real camera and sent us photos and videos from the day at no cost, and all much better quality then our phone cameras.

We also got to know Schingo as a human, he’s a great person and makes you feel safe and comfortable. Funny too!

Schingo was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. This was by far our favorite day in Japan over a 3 week span. Thank you so much for an unforgettable adventure!

The tour with Shingo was really interesting and beautiful. He showed us the nature of Gokanosho, the Aso Region and many interesting things like suspension bridges, a real knifes workshop and the town where his home is. He is a really good driver („the best out of Gokanosho“) and you can learn interesting things about the region and Japan by talking to him.

From the moment I started communications about our plans to the actual tours, Shingo-san was absolutely incredible! He was very professional and very easy to talk to, and honestly, I think he is the best tour guide we've ever had. He gave us so much information about Takachiho, Mt. Aso, Kumamoto, and more, and that delighted us because we love to learn about Japan. Something that I also find really unique about him and his service is his pleasing personality, and it certainly shows with all the random conversations and topics we've had, so there was never a dull moment with Shingo-san. We've had the great pleasure of talking to him so comfortably while he showed us around, and in all honesty I personally have never experienced that with other guided tours before. He showed us all the great spots for pictures and restaurants with great food, and he even took us on a few more areas that weren't part of our itinerary but felt we would enjoy it after all our conversations about common interests, and we definitely did! Our two-day guided tour with him is my favorite part of our third visit to Japan, so I'm hoping that one day when we go back to Kyushu again, we can book another tour with him. That is how highly satisfied we are with him us our guide!

I highly recommend Shingo-san! You will never regret it! BEST TOUR EVER! Thank you so much for everything!

I am not a person who typically enjoys organized tours, but the only feasible way to get around the countryside and see multiple locations in Kumamoto was to book a tour. Luckily I came across Schingo when searching for tour options. My son (who has been learning to speak Japanese and studying Japanese history and folklore for past year) and I booked a private tour with Schingo to Takachiho Gorge and Mount Aso. We had the most amazing time - Schingo is an incredible tour guide! He speaks perfect English which meant my son could really engage with him about the etymology of various Japanese words and names we encountered along the tour as well as discuss folklore local to the Kumamoto area. A lot of tour guides try to inundate you with every possible fact they can in order to fill the all-day tour with trivia (which is exactly why I generally do not enjoy organized tours). Schingo had the perfect balance of teaching us about the history of the Kumamoto area as well as the specific places we visited and just chatting with us about common interests ranging from rock music concerts (Schingo is also a musician) to anime and manga to Japanese history/politics. We had an absolute blast talking with him! Schingo also arranged for a few stops along the way that weren't initially planned for that made our day (if you are a One Piece fan, you are in for a treat!). My wife and my other son couldn't be with us for this part of our Japan trip, but the next time we visit we plan to return to Kumamoto with them and have Schingo take us around again. BEST TOUR EVER!
