It is a good idea to start your travel in Beppu by making a stop at this station. The man at the station was able to give a lot of advices and answer a lot of our questions in english.

The people here are very friendly and helpful. You can get all the information about the sights, the means of transport , etc. Be sure to obtain combination tickets for the heels and the buses.

Located at JR Beppu Station the English staff (who are multi-lingual) will help you in planning your trips to the various locations around Beppu. Bus routes and rail links can be difficult, but they gave us all the information need.
