Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

went to downtown Naha to see a parade and absolutely fell in love withthis spot. The shopping, food, hanging with the locals and watching the Shuri Castle King and queen in the parade was amazing. Such a cultural experience. I love the Okinawan people.

When we landed to Naha and checked in the hotel, the first thing we did to visit Kokusaidori.
It was the main road of Naha with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafes.
It is a must to visit place! It is cool!

The busiest part of town, I suppose, with all kinds of shops and restaurants. It's fun walking down from one end to the other especially on a Sunday when they blocked off traffic and making this into a pedestrians only area. Do try the snacks along the street. Absolutely enjoyed the hot cheese cake on a cold day. We did not do too much shopping other than a few boxes of cookies on this 4th trip to Naha.

This is the main tourist street where all the souvenir shops are located. However, you will see many empty storefronts.

According to the locals, the street hasn't recovered completely since COVID however there is an obvious infusion of mainland chains and franchises setting shop here.

You come here to purchase cheap souvenirs and try the trendy ice cream. It connects to the two main shopping arcades in Naha.

While it is a must-visit once, you are not missing much if you do not get here either.

Great place to walk around. It is a walk along shopping street and super touristy! Bring your walking shoes and your wallet. If you are hungry there are plenty of average to high average places to eat there.

Kokusaidori is a fun and touristy street in Naha. I highly recommend everyone visiting come to Kokusaidori Street. From here there are so many other streets to branch off to. Most shops here cater to tourists, you can find many souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, and other fun stores here. The street was pretty clean and well maintained. I was here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty crowded. I recommend walking up one side and down the other and then venturing off to other streets and parts of the city.

Easily to come here by Yui rail. We came here several time for shopping and food. It is a famous attraction in Naha city. So packed and crowded during night time.
Visited on June 2019.

This is the busiest street of the whole of Naha and Okinawa, and probably the place you will pass by during your holiday in Okinawa. Good places to pass by would be the Calbee shop (which sells Okinawa exclusive Calbee product – although strangely it doesn’t offer tax refund) and the Donki Quijote shop. The rest were kinda similar, mostly steak restaurants, convenience store and souvenior shops (selling food, wine, glassware, pharmaceutical product etc.). Traffic was cordoned off on Sundays, and there were buskers performing on the street.

It’s a a street line with souvenir shops and not much else. All the shops resemble each other and sell similar things. One thing to keep in mind - if you can’t read Japanese you will not be able to tell what most items are. English translations are few and far apart, and when translated they simply state ‘drink’, ‘salt’ or ‘spicy’, which is not very helpful. Same items are much cheaper in the supermarkets.

Good last resort place for souvenir shopping and food as there are tons of shops and restaurants/izakaya. It is definitely a busy street. If you don't like a touristy place, then avoid this street. Many restaurants offer Okinawan food and habushu (snake sake).
