This is a fairly small site located close to the Shurijo castle and is easily combined with a visit there. It's a world heritage site so if you're into ticking lists then you may like to visit here. There's also a small museum at the...More

It's only a small site and museum, but it was very interesting and informative. You can't go inside of course, but the museum has photos and a detailed scale model of the interior. The surrounding grounds are also very atmospheric. If you're visiting Shuri Castle,...More

A simple yet historical mausoleum in the heart of the city. I hope there will be a lot of people to visit this place. The museum is very informative about the details of the series of events for this mausoleum.

After visiting the Royal Castle, we stopped here to learn about the resting place for the remains of King Sho En of the second Sho dynasty. There are three rooms in the tomb: the center room was for washing the bones, the east room was...More

Interesting place to visit if history is your thing. Not really a family or kids place. Remember to visit the downstairs display at the visitors centre.

If you are planning a visit to Shuri Castle, add this to your plans. It is about a two-minute walk from the castle. There is not much there, but worth the visit.

There is really nothing much to see here. We visited this place as it is within walking distance from the castle but we were pretty disappointed. We even paid a fee to visit the museum which is so small. Totally not worth it.
