Great for getting from the airport into Naha, of limited use afterwards. On for getting round Naha but need attending arrangements for sightseeing.

The monorail though limited in service area does provide fast and efficient transport to the main areas of Naha. It serves the airport (at no extra cost) and if your hotel is on or near the railway it is a good option. There are elevators in every station from ground level up to concourse and then to platform, so taking... More

Makes getting around in Naha easy. We took it on a weekend and it was very crowded, we almost could not get in.

I bought the 2 day pass, and ended up buying a third day. It's just so comvenient to not have to worry about buying tickets and the one day pass is CHEAP (700 yen). The monorail works great and is definitely the best way to get to/from the airport, WOrks like a charm and every station has escalators and elevators... More

You can take Yui Rail to anywhere in Naho city. It's on time and the instruction is clear. BUT, there's always some but(s). The compartment is small and smell like public washroom, I guess it's the cleansing detergent they used? Super weird and disgusting. If you travel with more than 4 ppls, take taxi. It charged from ¥150 to ¥500.

Useful way from airport to downtown. Tickets are expensive. I alway laugh to listen to the inboard announce, "Now arriving 'station name.'" I expect "at" follows "arriving."

Naha's monorail is modern, comfortable and air conditioned. You can begin your ride at Naha Airport and go to the center of Naha and end at Shuri Castle. I used the all day passes 700 yen approximately $7.00. Be aware at peak times, everyone crams inside and fills it to 168 people capacity otherwise it is very nice.

For 700¥ I visited all the main sites around Naha city using the monorail in a single day. 700¥ entitled me to unlimited travelling between stations from Naha Airport to Shuri Station. If you are staying in Naha and plan to visit sights in Naha, I recommend using this to avoid traffic congestion.

The elevated light rail system in Naha provides tourist a convenient way to travel from Naha airport to city center. Keep in mind that the airport rail station is located at the domestic terminal so you may expect some walking if you arrive at the international terminal. It is not as frequent as some of the big city subway system,... More
