A very large Japanese garden with all the attributes of the best of its kind. Peaceful settings of rocks, trees, and water. Also a great Conservatory with stunning orchids and other flowers. Absolutely worth a visit.

Big garden, with wide variety of plants, managed to see some of the sakura start blooming even though it's quite early in the year (the attendant at the entrance kindly informed us about it when we bought tickets).

The garden is beautiful, the landscape is beautiful, and the story of Makino, the botanist and illustrator is inspirational - a local genius who became a hero of botany for the entire country
