The museum is worth visiting if you like architechture, because the first floor offers a view over a kind of water balcony (looking like a shallow pool). Besides one very large painting, the museam does not offer that much art to see.

Enthralled by the stunning architecture as well as the infinity lake on the second floor overlooking Senshu park. But the masterpiece "Events of Akita" painting is breathtaking and great example of 20th century Impressionism. Close by the station and by Senshu park.

It is quite a famous architecture. But we did not have time to get inside. as a walking distance from JR Akita, it is sure a place you must visit.
