My wife and I spent 4 day skiing at Hakkoda Ski Resort and it was phenomenal. We had stuck out in Niseko with little snow and little Japanese culture and Hakkoda was the right fix. It was mid February and it seemed to never stop...More

Magnificent view. When during winter, the temperature were around minus 9-12 degree with blizzard. However, the bad weather does not stop us from going there to look for the famous snow monsters. Rubber boots are available ( little quantity for visitors to wear ). Is...More

Due to the weather we did not get up to the top. I can imagine that the views are amazing on a clear day.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
is there public transportation to the ropeway?

Yes, there is a bus running from Aomori JR station and from Shin-Aomori station - not very frequent, however and the last bus leaves from Hakkoda Ropeway station around 4 pm.
What id the distance to the ski lifts? How long does it take? Is it at an additional cost?
