Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a long pedestrian street "Panfilov Street" starting from Kazakh National Theatre Opera and Ballet towards the Arbat area, covering two metro stations (Almaty and Zhibek Zholy). An easy and nice stroll and there are some decent restaurants/ ice cream stalls along.

Famous pedestrianised street in centre of Almaty with lots of bars and restaurants with street performers. Great place for an evening stroll and to relax.

Panfilov Street was reconstructed and turned into a pedestrian street in 2017 and immediately became one of the main attractions of the city. Well known urbanist Jan Gale had a hand in transforming this street into a "public space". At any time of the day many people walk, events happens, street musicians busking. There are many restaurants along the street to suit different tastes and wallets. I recommend this place to all guests of the city.

The city authorities have scored a hit by turning this street into a bustling reserve for pedestrians, with places to rest, restaurants and fountains to cool on a hot day. Cars which used to frighten people are banned forever!

I love spending my time here at night time. So many people come here to have a stroll or to have a cup of coffee while watching others walk by.
Another attraction factor - many music bands play live here: from rock to classical music.
If you want to see how Almaty citizens enjoy their life, and if you feel like joining them, come and walk with them along this road to celebrate life :)
