Great city and mountain views. Worth the trip. We ate a very nice lunch up top, which was nice and peaceful. They had a pet zoo on top which we strolled around. Also had some amusement attractions, like a bobsled on a track, and various other attractions. The also had statues of the Beatles (rock group), which seemed pretty random.

Worth 2000 tenge for the ticket up and down. Nice restaurant at top, mini zoo and a nice park for walking. Important with fresh air at the top, you will see the pollution over Almaty.

Recommend taking the cable car which cost 2000 teng (free for under 5s) and takes around 10/15 minutes to get there. You can also access via bus or car! At the top you get great views of the city and mountains. There is a cafe and restaurants to cater for all we used the cafe which again was reasonably priced!... More

return ticket cost 2000 KZT. totaly not worth it, at least in January. Very boring!)) Very unsafe, no propper barriers on the edges, especially near the sign "I love kok tobe", you can easily fall and die.

Kok-Tobe Hill is a sort of classic experience in Almaty...for visitors and locals alike. Essentially, this is a hilltop park built into the higher elevations of the city's southern reach where the Alatau mountain range begins. For this reason, you are blessed both with views of this mountain range (almost invariably capped in snow as it was when I visited... More

The hill itself is very beautiful, there is a great view around! You can see only town below, but not a lovely mountains on the left, because the observation spots in the far part from the entrance were closed (I'm not sure that there are any at the side of television antenna). City mostly covered with smog and you can't... More

It used to be a green park with old tries, but was transformed now to a modern spot, where they cut down many tries. Restaurants are expensive. Nice souvenir shop if yo want to buy different small items.

The hill the mast stands on is the highest point of the city of Almaty at 1100 metres and the mast itself is 350 meters tall. The viewpoint from Kok-tobe is well worth a visit with panoramic views of the city in all directions. A cable car ride is a really good way to the top of Kok-tobe Hill and... More
