I am a big fan of both the ocean views in Malindi and the sense of history in this town that has been fought over for centuries. It was visited by Chinese explorers in the early 1400s, and inhabited by the Portuguese during the 1500s,...More

Its an Iconic piece of history. The location is not made into a commercial fish market which is nice, it still has its historical vybe. Pretty cool.

Easily accessed from the beach when the tide is out, it is an interesting historical site and with the museums guide it gets more meaning, it is a great site as the views are quite breathtaking.

This place brings out the old history about coastal territories- the Arabs,Oman and eventually British rule! You will be amazed about the VdG voyage!! There are some freelance guides, just negotiate the fee.

Vasco da Gama pillar is a historical monument that celebrates an early explorer. There is nothing much to say about the pillar itself; while it is historically significant, the manner in which it is presented and sold to tourists leaves a lot to be desired....More

This place has nearly been chocked by private developers around. you can only access the monument via a foot path. A very sad situation given the history of the site. There are guides to tell you of the rich history of the voyage and the...More
