My sister and I stayed at Medina palms and they connected to marine park so that we can do the water sports activities. We started with snorkeling, we went by boat with glass bottom to the middle of the ocean. I decided to use floaters to get into the water, scared of deep waters but that didn't stop me. I... More

I've been here twice and I'm already aching for another visit. The beach at Watamu is very scenic and beautiful. I like that unlike other coastal locations where random people approach to sell you coconuts and jewelry, this feels almost private! You can book a diving, kite surfing or dolphin watching and snorkelling adventure for a day. The ride out... More

This beautiful stretch of the Kenyan coast suffers from erosion and pollution, yet is supposed to be a protected national marine park! We were shocked to see the mess on the beach when we holidayed here in August. How can it be in such a state if it is a marine park, we asked ourselves! Now we want to ask... More

This place is a shadow of its former beauty. The beach has litter everywhere and none of the resorts or the local government seem to do anything to pick it up. Coastal erosion, illegal fishing and litter have meant that the marine park itself has been damaged. Coral destroyed and not many fish. Such a shame. One of the resorts... More

I went snorkeling on the reef just out from the Turtle Bay resort on a small glass bottom boat. Snorkeling is always fun and this location didn't disappoint but it is not 5 star worthy in my opinion. I saw about 5 varieties of fish in total. The coral reef itself doesn't appear all that healthy. It was definitely a... More

Its tantalizing calm coral waters attract birdlife, such as fish eagles and herons, as much as whales and dolphins, the birdlife, of course, diving for fish or waiting for them on the sandbanks at low tide while game fish use Mida creek as breeding grounds. For divers, the miles of coral reef is sheer heaven. Even snorkeling is out of... More

One of the best places for snorkelling we have been! Also we saw plenty star fish and an octopus on a little beach near by.

Great fun snorkeling and seeing all the fish and coral . It was not so clear with a film of sand covering the view though. The boat was new and nice but price was jacked up a bit probably because tourism is so low .we paid for snorkeling gear and then no fins were included. We had to add money... More

The crew of a very small glass bottom boat were arguing. Few colourful fish too see plus dolphins. Organisation of the trip is not at its best.
