Old historical building
Mar 2020 • Family
This is an old and historical building in JB. It sits on top of a hill and looks majestic. Unfortunately, it is closed the public, so you only see it from outside the fence.

A quick peek through the gate
Dec 2019
We weren't allowed to go inside (not sure if that is just because it was a Sunday), so had to be content with a quick peek through the gate. On the plus side, no-one seemed to mind us taking photographs. It's quite an attractive building and might be worth a stop if you're already in the area. Best to walk as parking around here is very difficult.

Lost history
Mar 2019 • Couples
You cannot visit inside this building so there is not much to see unless you are interested in historical architecture and understand the different external components to this building. It is built on the hill on which the 19th century ruler of Johor first planted his flag, but you won't learn that just form looking at it!

Formidable building in Johor Bahru
Nov 2017 • Solo
The Sultan Ibrahim Building is in the centre of Johor Bahru and is the former State Secretariat building. Behind high fences and heavy security the place feels quite formidable, I could see the building from my hotel room at night where it looked quite menacing. The offices of the state secretariat have now moved to Kota Iskandar.

This site is one of the instagrammable buildings in JB. This is Johor's State Secretariat Bldg and known as Sultan Ibrahim Bldg. It was Johor's administrative center before it was transferred to Kota Iskandar.

Closed to public
Sep 2017 • Family
This is a government building situated on top of a hill and you can see it when you are driving around downtown JB.

The place is closed to public, but you can take some nice photos from the grounds outside.

Old Beautiful Bulding
Dec 2016
From outside, this building was indeed an eye-catching view due to its location in front of the city centre main road. At first I thought it was a museum or palace. But as you get closer, you cant really enter the building as it is the state secretariat building and people was not allowed to enter it. Yet, u can still take photos from afar and have a good view of it.
