The best service is from Ferry Bahagia where they have young crews to help sorting the luggage and greet you with a genuine smile, compared to the Star ferry, their staffs and crews are just looking and staring like none of their business...

Booking and getting the tickets was very easy via Easybooking. Our boat was a catamaran going to Langkawi at 8.15 in the morning. It made a stop shortly before we arrived at Langkawi at another island. It took us 3 hours to get to Langkawi. The boat was rocking on the waves, although the weather was good. Many people were... It cost RM60 from Langkawi to Penang, you can buy online but remember to collect your ticket from the counter near jetty, we was asked to pay an extra of RM2 for the print out of the 2 tickets, not sure is this a must to pay or not. The ferry left on time at 2:30pm but stopped about 1km... More

Bought the tickets online, very easy and convenient using credit card. The ferry is air-conditioned and seats are quite comfortable. It's advisable to bring along your sweater anyway. Luggages will be placed accordingly by the staffs. The whole journey takes around 1 hr 45 mins from Kuala Kedah as scheduled. There is chinese movie on show but the quality is... More

We took a ferry from the ferry station to Penang. The ship was relative clean. The leg room was not perfect, but reasonable. I did not feel cold or hot. I did not feel dizzy. The tip would be that plan well your time, as ferry station was on the middle or on one end as far as I remember.... More

We were taking the ferry to the yacht ship and the ferry offered tv and air condition! Best of all, I didn't get any sea sick that day.

I cannot confirm the bad ratings of others users. The (online) booking of our tickets was very easy, the boarding process went smoothly and the ferry left on time. Our seats were comfortable and also the temperature in the passenger cabin was not too cold (~20°C), although it might be advisable to bring a jacket. You can go out on... More
