We had a very cool day out!! My teenage sons went if scuba diving and my husband and I tried it for the first time with our youngest son. Was an amazing experience, lots of fun and the staff very helpful. The only downside was the lunch served, not very good. Otherwise the beaches looked like paradise and the amazing... More

Although the journey is quite long - it takes about 45 minutes by boat to get there, the snorkelling experience was fantastic. We saw lots of different kinds of fishes. However there were a lot to people in a small area and the key is to get away from the crowds .

This small island with good marine life rift at its beaches is an hour's boat trip from the port of Kuah on Langkawi, and longer from Penang. This was a long transfer, as we'd had to get a bus pick-up from the hotel, collect a coach full of trippers, and then get to Kuah, 70 minutes for that alone. After... More

I've been to Pulau Payar in Dec 2016 to celebrate new year. Tour provided by Coral Island, I was asked to wait at 8 am at the hotel lobby but the bus only arrived around 9 am. From hotel at Pantai Chenang, we traveled to Pekan Kuah, about 45 minutes and again have to wait for the boat to depart... More

Operator : Langkawi Coral Price : RM140/pax Absolute like... Plenty of fishes including giant grouper and black tip sharks during snorkeling Absolute dislikes... - the long trip to-from hotel - the lunch was utter crap (fried rice, french fries, fried chicken & an orange...it was so bloody dry) - there is no shower - you have to pay RM20 if... We spent 90 RM per person - got a discount as we also booked mangrove tour. The good thing was that the water and beach looked much better than at Cenang beach - the water was clean with a lot of fish at the shore. However, the other leaves better to be desired. 1) We spent three hours to get... More

Been there for the first time. It is totally different island from Langkawi. It take about an hour from Kuah Jetty. The water were shallow. Even the organizers find it weird as they also encountered this for the first time. Due to this, some tend to step on the coral offen. Plenty of tourist got bitten by the fish and... More

There are two options: one to the platform (~230-250 RM) and the other to Palau Payar beach area (~120 RM). We chose to do the first to the platform which was a few 100 metres away and offered a boat shuttle to Pulau Payar (beach area). I'm glad we did that. There was so much fish around the platform and... More
