The entry costs you RM12 (for Malaysian), and it is kind of disappointing in which the place needs to improve on staff service delivery, history message delivery, and maintaining the place to bring us back to the time when it happened. The village, house and traditions are being too modernised which you can hardly get to relate the who environment... More

There is a story behind mahsuri .she was sentenced to death . When she died she spell a curse that Lanka will will not be able to develop for 7 generations . In the eighth generation mahatir was born and he developed it and made Lanka with a duty free island .

they have upgraded mahsuri's tomb into a complex, therefore we need to pay ticket to enter. Beside the tomb there are diorama museum with life gamelan music played by local people, and few of old and tradisional houses used during mahsuri's time.

The price ticket is way too much. IMHO even half of the price still wont give you any justice. Just the same information you can get from the net.

Small area with a Mahsuri tomb, few traditional Kedah's houses. They also have a Caklempong (traditional musical intrument) show. Few stalls inside to eat including Laksa. RM12 for adult and RM 6 for kids from 3-12 yo (domestic). Nice view of paddy field of course. Open from 8am.

This place is very historical n its closely associated w Langkawi. Its a story of ill feelings, jealousy, revenge that seems still to be in the lifestyle of man. The place can be maintained better.

The story really is fantastic & well worth the visit to understand the woman & the legend. Unfortunately there is more tourist shops here than actual information. It is still worth a visit & the 17R entrance fee is very reasonable.
