Taxi's guys were accommodating, about 40 ringit from our hotel to Cenang main shopping area. They seemed well organised, but not very clean.

For a culture that is too attached to rice I ecpected to see a larger exhibit, and the place is almost abandoned, I didn't see any employee. Surrounding is a rice field that is having all stages of rice, nice to view its growth, and...More

The rice museum is a little odd as it looks closed (no staff that we could see) but seems to be a self-guided free museum. The museum itself was interesting with plenty of signage to explain the different tools and the important role rice has...More

The paddy field are not well maintained. However the infomation center is well maintained. Free entrance to this place. Good experience for children to see how the rice are produced.

If you're in Langkawi, go and have a look at this local museum. Nothing groundbreaking, but the staff are friendly and you'll meet the locals!

My partner and I visited the rice museum today as part of an island bus tour. The place is very poorly signed, we weren't really sure where to go. There were barely any people and it felt deserted. The gardens were pretty and well maintained...More

We really knew nothing about rice but we picked up a lot of information here. There were displays inside the museum building but the most interesting part was the active portion outside where people were showing us how the rice was cultivated and grown and...More
