Our family of four did the private tour package 2 (tea tasting, factory tour, and pots of tea and cakes), and we cannot recommend it more highly. Sangeethaa was a wealth of knowledge and was very warm and engaging throughout the tour.

She took us on a private tour of the production factory and explained the steps, pointed out the key machinery (some of it dating back to the 1930s!), and answered all our questions brilliantly.

The tea tasting gave us a varied overview of the different types of tea manufactured at BOH, and it was all conducted in a beautiful private tasting room with our own panoramic views of the tea plantation.

Finally, we were treated to pots of BOH tea and some lovely cakes to round off the experience.

Do not hesitate - make sure to book the experience - it was the highlight of our trip to Cameron Highlands! Thank you Sangeethaa!

Highlight of our trip in Cameron Highlands! The views over the tea plantations were fabulous. We did the free factory tour and after a private tour (40 ringet PAX). I advise the private tour as our guide, Sangeeta, gave us a far more detailed explanation of the factory and the tea tasting was very interesting!

We went to the BOH Tea Centre as two couples and one child under 4. We did the private tasting package 2 and our guide was Sangeethaa. The package included a private guided tour of the factory, private tea tasting with a view over the tea plantation followed by two pots of our favourite tea and cakes. The package was great value, Sangeethaa was very knowledgable and made for a very relaxing experience. We would highly recommend it to others.

We visited BOH Tea today and had the best time with our guide Sangeetha. We were unsure on whether to do the guided tour and tea tasting but we learnt so much and felt very well looked after - it was definitely worth it! It really was a unique experience and Sangeetha made it very special. I would recommend it to everyone visiting 😄

A well thought through tour of Malaysias largest tea producer. The balcony hangs out over the plantation providing great views and you'll be able to try the different flavours of tea produced by BOH whilst there. I was a little rushed when I was there but I enjoyed it nonetheless, I would allow two hours if visiting again, highly recommended.

Today we visited the BOH tea farm in Cameron Highlands and had a fantastic day. The great experience starts already when arriving in the hilly valley of their oldest tea plant - endless hills of tea plants catch your eyes. The guest area is very modern with a fantastic terrace overlooking nearly the entire territory. You can go for a free-of-charge plant tour, but you should definitely pay for the small MYR amount which gives you an individual (or at least very small group) guidance through the process of tea production. But much more important it includes a tasting of 5 different BOH teas. And let’s be honest - what serves all knowledge about tea production if you cannot judge a great tea by its taste. We were extremely lucky with our guide Sangeethaa - she was extremely kind, knowledgeable and also patiently answered all our questions. @Sangeethaa - thank you so much!!!

To some degree, the tea plantations here are somewhat similar to those I've seen in China, and Sri Lanka. However, a tea cultivator might see very significant differences. Eight hours drive back and forth from Penang. It's exhausting, but worth it.

I really thought hard for something positive to say about this place & I found one, there’s a nice view.
Everything else is poorly thought through from a customer experience perspective.
Firstly it’s a difficult place to get to. Narrow roads that get snarled up with heavy traffic & buses that are too wide for the space available.
We then waited 45 minutes in a queue to buy some tea. We gave up at that point (because we were still 30mins away from being served) & headed for the factory tour. That was conducted by a disinterested person & lasted less than 5 minutes. You are confined to staring into the factory from afar.
The shop offered a chance to buy a product you haven’t been able to taste.
This experience, when compared to one we did in Sri Lanka, is way below par.

Not worth it. It’s all about making money and shipping thousands of people per day to that point. The tea factory tour was exactly 5 min and it was not allowed to take photos. Better do a hike on your own.
