Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited this temple twice on 07 and 08 July 2020. Disappointed that it was not opened as both gate entrances were shut.
Didn't notice any notices displayed outside but there were lorries and construction materials on the side of the temple. Not sure if it was closed for renovation or what.

Parking outside temple and up some steps to the inner sanctum.Shoes to be removed.Three ringgits for a packet of incense. No dress code specified. So exercise personal discretion.A perfect spot to be still of mind.

Nothing much to brag about it but the place is calm and soothing, just like most of the Buddhist temples in this part of the world. There are mainly 2 setups of statues and both are glittering and nice. Learned a bit about the Buddhism while visiting and they offered free book - one of which is about mental peace and worth reading. If you have time and not fussy about religious beliefs, can visit this place.

This is a Buddhist Temple. Many tourist and devotes come to this temple to pray and make wishes, especially during New Year. it has a very traditional layout where you greeted with a temple gate, then the Hall of the four Heavenly Kings, and finally leading to the Main Shrine. The Rear Hall at the end and a Side Hall on the right, from the Main Hall. Apart from the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and many Dharma protector figures, the temple is full of activities suitable for all age group. This place bring sense of calmness to the heart. Don not miss the Soya bean stall to taste the very traditional soya bean curd and drinks.

Probably I went during an off-peak season that's why there's nobody there except us and the monks.
On the way up to this temple you can see amazing views! However if you are not into the religion, I would suggest to give this a skip as this place shows a few Buddhist Gods. People mainly go there for prayers; not as place of attraction. However the structural design is quite interesting.

We had some spare time and decided to walk up here from Brinchang. It's an easy and quiet (although not particularly beautiful) walk. The temple itself is new, quiet and pleasant. It was nice enough lingering for a bit and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed it better than the commercialized tourist "farms" of the area. That said, it's nothing really special if you've seen Buddhist temples before, so there's no need to go out of your way to get here.

We had a car so it was easy to get to - not sure it's worth walking to, though, if you don't have a vehicle. We were the only ones there.

The Sam Poh temple is a Buddhist temple with incredible large golden (and musical) statues inside but compared to other temples we’d seen in Malaysia and SE Asia, it was not actually worth visiting unless you are worshipping. It was very peaceful as we were practically the only people there other than some local worshippers, but nothing special.

Nothing really special about this temple just because it is the only Buddhist temple in the area that makes it becoming tourist place.

You can say that, and it's another form of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva as far as I can tell.

Please forgive my ignorance. May I have the name of the Dieties in the temple?
Thank you.

If this is the temple up by the hill in Brinchang, the names of the deities are on a plaque. If you've not visited the place, the shrine right after the main entrance comprises Maitreya (the laughing Buddha), which is back to back with Vajrapani Bodhisattva. The four flanking deities are the Four Giant Generals of the North, South, East and West.
The main shrine comprises the Avalokitesvara, also back to back by the same, called Thousand Hand Thousand Eye Bodhisattva. The one sitting on the lion is Manjushri Bodhisattva and the one sitting on the elephant is Samanthabadhra Bodhisattva.
You can google all of these images and names to find out more. Hope this helps.
