The Ipoh Town Hall was completed in 1916 and was designed by British Architect Arthur Benison Hubback. Originally it was the State Administrative Office together with the Post Office. Now because of it high maintanence cost it is used as a function hall for events. Currently under renovation.

Ipoh's town hall is a grand, stately building in downtown. The lavish structure reflects the heyday of the mining city. It is currently under renovation with parts blocked. It is not open to public at this moment.

Another of Ipoh's beautiful and well maintained British colonial buildings that makes a statement by just sitting there looking pretty. It certainly conveys power and elegance of post Victorian grandeur and should be on the list of every visitor.

A nice colonial building. You can only take photo from the outside. Would be good to have a tour inside.

Early morning visiting old buildings built during British colonial era around Ipoh old town. Nearby is a mosque, Birch memorial tower, railway station, etc. All within walking distance. Many food outlets with delicious Ipoh food around this area too.

During the day, walking around old town is OK. I did day then walked night. All the old town buildings are well lit up and make a stunning statement. Also much cooler than day walking. If you like architecture then night is best.

Good to see. The colonial architechture really pulls me, but it is so hot that most people just stay in their cars. Don't know much about this building, don't know if you can visit it.
