Beautiful building, very well maintained... Nice area around with fountains and green park... Pity that you couldn't see the platform without train ticket... Be aware when across the road in front... No zebra, and busy road... There are snack shops and free wc...

A place to buy tickets....improved outlook over the years. Service might not be so good but just walk around and take a look at the building inside and out and you might supersede this flaw with the beautiful structure and scenic view.
This is the only train station in Ipoh. Always book your ticket online if you don't feel like waiting in line.
There's small Muslim prayer room if you don't feel like pray on the train. A bit secluded from the ticketing area.

To my surprise, the station is actually small with only few platforms. Only one cafe inside (but pretty) and some other food stall. The outside ground is spacious and beautifully decorated, worth a visit for photos.
