Like it’s neighbor Han chin pet soo museum, this lovely building gives you a view of historic Ipoh through one mans journey to establish a successful tea business. The tea is still made today and you get to sample it after your self guided tour.

The museum was very well maintained and put together, and the stories were very interesting to me. I did not know that Hor Yan Hor originated from Ipoh. You will end the tour with sampling the herbal drink.

Had a blast here, learning about the history of Ho Yan Hor Chinese medicine. Because it was in the original house, it really made a difference! It’s totally free and you get to sample the 3 different Ho Yan Hor teas!

It was interesting and informative to learn about the history of how their traditional medicine was made and sold. The photographs and items from the past brings back memories for those of us who were alive back then. Their herbal teas are good too!
