This used to be a popular temple and filled with a lot of bats. Over the years, the number of bats had reduced. There's a cave inside the temple and that's where the bats are.

We were actually brought here by the grab driver when we actually on our way to Kek lok si. He told us that wishes made here can come true. So we drop by here. Not a famous tourist spot.

Interesting small temple, its pretty cool that the back of the temple is full of bats! There's also a little pond across the road full of turtles.

Can be a little tricky to get to, and a bit of a steep slope. Still pretty cool especially since they let you use a torch to see the bats.

The temple is unique with the cave in it and the temple has these huge fish (can't remember name of it) in a pond within the temple. Interesting!

This is the Tua Peh Kong temple at the foot of Penang Hill in Air Itam. Built in the 1900's, this temple has a cave inside it where thousands of bats dwell. They hang upside down and sleep during the day and fly out to...More

I love syncretic Chinese temples, and so for me this place was a delight. The main deity is Tua Pek Gong (Taoist) - a protective deity in charge of a tract of land, and his statue was excellent. Their Guan Yin (Buddhist) statue, unlike any...More

This temple is unique because it was constructed in the face of a cave which was inhabited by bats. You've to go in the temple to see the bats clinging on the rock surface. May not be a big tourist attraction but i would recommend...More
