A historic gem in the heart of the George Town world heritage site. The Sun Yat Sen Museum is a beautifully-preserved house museum in the multicultural George Town world heritage site. This historical house has a permanent exhibition on Sun Yat Sen's early revolutionary period in Penang when he planned a historic uprising on the cusp of the Chinese Revolution of 1911.

I remembered visiting this museum and noticing that one has to ring for an appointment to visit this historical venue. Now it appears that it is open for viewing with an appointed guide. Minimal cost to pay for an interesting visit.

A visit to the Sun Yat Sen Museum is a must do when visiting George Town. It's not really a museum as we expected just a preserved house where Dr. Sun Yat Sen stayed while in Penang. Love the Peranakan interiors, with the lovely tiles...More

The place is very small only the ground floor, and there is a bit record only related to Sun Yat Sen movement in Penang.

A good place to know about Dr Sun Yat Sen and Penang history relations. Mandarin and English language information available. The staffs are very friendly.
