Crowded, not really good for children. Average shopping for just trinkets but best for food stalls. You can get some cheap and good eats here.

My boys had a fantastic time bargaining their way to a bag full of Football shirts. This is your typical market setup with knock offs everywhere.. So many choices and cheap.

Huge night market to explore. Nearby dried seafood stall is a good place to bring home some local food souvenirs. Lots of cheap clothing, sandals etc.

Our family (5 adults) loved the seafood part of the night markets, returning twice during our 5 nights in KK. Some of the seafood is quite expensive but most is very reasonably priced. Prices are very clear. Vendors have the fresh seafood iced on counters and you just ask how much per kilo and nominate a weight. The vendor then... More

Handicraft market - We walked along the waterfront through the meat, fish, vegetable, and fruit markets before coming to the handicraft market. It is mostly full of junk but still a pleasant place to nose around as are the other markets. Men are out in front of it sewing on old machines. My husband said, This is where old sewing... More

We had been looking for real fruit juice since being in sabah and were very happy to finally taste good real juice! You can choose from a wide variety of fruits and several sizes of servings with the biggest only needed when you are VERY thirsty! In the whole market there is much to see and to eat although it... First time back in KK in 13 years. I arrived pretty late at night and needed to get some food, luckily I still remember where the market is. After checking into my hostel I made my way there and it's just as I remembered it. You can get groceries and then make your way to the food vendors and get... More

The market is open quite late so it´s nice to go for a stroll at night. Big selection of great fresh fish and other food.
