Sapi is one the 5 islands right across from downtown K.K. It is about 10 mins boat ride from the downtown jetty. It is not a big island and the beach front is really small and rocky. Also, the restaurant does not provide good food,...More

The boat trip to Sapi Island is an experience in itself. There is some type of system to get you there and back and while I coudn't fathom it we did the trip without missing a beat. The Island itself is OK but gets very...More

Small, busy and grubby. Go to manukan or somewhere else. This one was recommended by a hotel porter. Manukan was recommended by a guide from ECO tours. Much better, especially in afternoon when everybody else heads back to town!

The water was very clear and we saw some fish close to the pier, but it was hard to find any good snorkeling places because we had very little time (two hours), and everything seem to take forever. When you visit Sapi, take the time...More

Otherwise very nice visit to Sapi Island spoiled by the atrocious state of the public toilets. You can smell the toilets before you get to them, even as you come up from snorkelling. The notice to apologise for a “temporary “ water shortage does not...More

Personally I didn't see any need to book a snorkelling tour. Just make your way to the jetty, hire your equipment at that point, then buy a return trip to your choice of Sapi or Manukan. Manukan has much prettier coral right... More
