Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is nothing much to see other than the beautiful old colonial building. Offcourse there is restaurant where you can enjoy good coffee, cakes and snacks. It is almost at the fag end of Water front and just adjacent to water front hotel and Merderka Plaza. So while visiting the Merdeka Plaza - the famous Mall you can simply walk-in to have a look at this building. No need to have special visit for this location.

the restaurant in the Old Courthouse is awesome, mixed cuisine. Lovely staff. Went back twice. Sat outside on the verandah, even when it was raining... it was beautiful.

An interesting insight into the extraordinary life of Ranee Margaret of Sarawak.
A lady who was so ahead of her time. Ranee Margaret was an accomplished pianist, photographer, journalist, mother, Queen, and well loved by the Sarawakian people.

I think the visit to Kuching will not be complete without visiting the oldcourt house building. It consist of 4 different complex by which one of it occupied by the Visitor Information Center. You should drop by the place on your day one of visiting Kuching. The place itself is charming and tastefully decorated. The perfect evening overlooking the fountain while enjoying a good cup of coffee.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance. Just located next to Merdeka Mall. They serve a host of Asian food and fusion food. Had the pot pie with beef rendang but it was dry. The beef pieces were dry as there was no gravy in it. I would not recommend it. My husband had the nasi goreng with rendang and that was more palatable.

A lovely old building. The staff are very friendly and the food delicious. We had dinner here and lunch before we left Kuching. They also have a great selection of yummy cakes.

The courthouse is newly renovated and house a number of cafeas providing a new vibe to the lovely town.

The cafes have a good music gigs at night, good variety of antique, books and household deco for sale and tourist information about Kuching.

The architecture at the old courthouse is a good photo taking spot. Do visit the China house cafe! One may host wedding events there too.

Tourist info centre is situated in the building. Went there to get a map and info where to rent a bike.

Have a lunch in the cafe nearby the tourist centre. Food is quite good and I loved their interior and atmosphere!
