Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Didn't really set my expectations very high since not really a cat lover to begin with. There are some posters/writeup explaining how cats meant to different cultures and religions which is quite educational but that's about it. The rest are just figurines, posters, etc. with cats on them. If you got a car, no harm. Otherwise, too much work for so little return.

Something different - massive collection of cat replica of various sizes.
Situated on top of a hill.
Minimal entrance fee and museum is smallish located in a government building that look like a spacecraft.

We decided to walk it here from the river.
That was the most exciting part of our visit.
Its a grand building and grounds which as good as it gets.
The cafe is more like a market stall but cheap as is the entrance fee at 3rm
Its not a museum really as more of a gallery with some weird displays
It must have taken us several minutes to see what was worth looking at.
Even cat lovers would be disappointed.
But hey I hate cats so judge for yourself

Fun little activity to do if you have time, although it is of course a little strange. It was good though to learn about the history of the name of ‘Kuching’, and it was also exciting to see information on Manx Cats being mentioned. It was fun reminiscing about famous cats, I.e ones in films etc. Entry is cheap and can spend at least half an hour here.

I was so looking forward to visiting the cat museum, being a cat lover but this place is old, tired and a bit too weird, even for me. It's just a random collection of cat art, old posters and cards, and ornaments. Not what I had hoped for.

Most random place I’ve ever visited.
Seems like someone had been to a car boot and collected anything that had a connection to cats. Everything from a get well soon card to a poster of Curiosity killed the cat.
It’s so bad it’s almost good.

Amusing and instagrammable museum. Lots of information but much has not been updated in years. The actual building is also good for photos. There is also gallery about the Kuching council and history and some aquarium tanks to keep you occupied.

Went with my daughter. We were the only people who were there during our visit. I am not really a fan of cats but it is quite interesting to know that there are many types of cats. The collection in the museum is quite interesting.

The" Cat City" Kuching ,most of the Sarawakian know about it. This museum is located at North City Hall, Kuching.
I myself prefer to visit the place due to good looking green environment. Furthermore, you can gain plenty of art, stamp,or even real cat photos here.
Disneyland film "The Aristocats" tell people that we must caring for home and wild animals as well.

As this is the Chinese New Year holidays the museum might be closed till 31 Jan. If you are an ardent cat lover tis place may suit you. Tis one of the few 'outdated' places i have seen during my years of travelling.Maintenance cost money and some if these places have free entry.
