The Kuching waterfront has transformed over the years Just opposite the Hilton hotel. Locals go there to watch the street buskers and just hangout by the serene river after sunset, amd tourists go there for the many sights and stalls selling souvenirs, street food, and knick knack. During the day, you'll be able to take the Sarawak river cruise, sampan... More

I enjoy walking along the banks of the river, watch small boats and cruise ships pass by. Some days, buskers/local musicians line the banks adding to the atmosphere of vendors selling food/drinks, local delights and souvenirs. Some joggers also run along here. Plenty of benches to rest and enjoy the sunset or just people watch.

Along the Esplanade you can enjoy dinner, buy gifts, local crafts & cakes as well as live musics (buskers).

it's nice to just stroll along the esplanade/waterfront either in the morning or evening as it's cooler during both times, less people in the morning compared to during the evening. Though if you're a foodie then you'd appreciate the many small stalls set-up during the evening (from 4ish pm). You can also take the small traditional boats or called "perahu... More

Nice place to take a stroll in the evening as it is cooler and stalls will be set up along the way. Situated along some hotels, shops and eateries. Main attractions are the River Cruise by big boat, river taxis and the traditional boat so give it a try. Behind the esplanade are souvenir shops which are reasonably price and... More

staying at the Hilton Kuching gives one a stunning view of the Sarawak river, and one cannot ignore the esplanade below. walking along it you will come across the pier where you can board the cruise boat that will take you on a lazy river cruise. there were cafes and outlets selling food, drinks and souvenirs. the Esplanade is long... This is a nice spot to walk along or find a spot to sit and watch the world go by. There's often a breeze from the river and things to see.

A good place to walk around during evening/night. A good place to buy souvenir items for the loved ones. ( please bargain) Near to kek lapis places where you need to take boat to cross the river (RM0.50 each trip). Average spending time: Max 2hours. Don't waste much time at this place.
